GAC Hyper will officially unveil its new mid-to-large five-seater SUV, the Hyper S600, on April 10. Built on GAC’s new premium electric vehicle architecture, the S600 features a sleek fastback coupe-SUV design and carries forward Hyper’s signature design language, including split upper-and-lower dual-lens headlights. Its dimensions measure 5,015 mm in length, 1,933 mm in width, and either 1,700 mm or 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,936 mm. The Hyper S600 will be offered in both all-electric and range-extended variants. The all-electric version is powered by a single motor delivering a maximum output of 250 kW and offers a choice between a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack (83.326 kWh, providing a CLTC-rated range of 660 km) or a ternary lithium battery pack (99.456 kWh, offering a CLTC-rated range of 800 km). The range-extended variant features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 118 kW, paired with a 36.028 kWh LFP battery, delivering CLTC pure-electric ranges of either 170 km or 180 km.
