2026 GAC Trumpchi M8 2.0T Launches at ¥169,800 with Upgraded Smart Features

The 2026 GAC Trumpchi M8 2.0T officially launched on April 8, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of RMB 189,800. With combined government and enterprise subsidies, the starting price is reduced to RMB 169,800. The new model features multiple upgrades in intelligent technology, comfort, and powertrain systems. In terms of intelligent driving, the vehicle adds seven new L2-level advanced driver-assistance functions, including AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), FCW (Forward Collision Warning), and a Rear Cross-Traffic Auto-Braking system. For smart connectivity, it integrates Huawei Cloud Desktop, enabling seamless smartphone screen mirroring, and now supports both Apple CarPlay and Baidu CarLife. For enhanced comfort, the second-row seats are upgraded to first-class cabin-style seats with ventilation, heating, massage, and multi-directional adjustment functions, while the third-row seats offer six-way adjustability. The air conditioning system adopts a "draft-free" design for improved comfort. Interior updates include a new light-colored “Misty Horizon” color scheme, a dual-tone steering wheel, upgraded high-end matte gray electroplated trim pieces, and wood-grain finishes on the center console panel. Powering the vehicle is the same high-output 2.0L turbocharged direct-injection (TGDI) engine paired with an Aisin 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a peak torque of 400 N·m. It also comes equipped with GAC’s AVDC “Shadow Driver” system and ESP electronic stability control. Additionally, GAC has introduced two new ownership benefits—“Fuel Price Increase Subsidy” and “Fuel Price Hike Insurance Renewal Benefit”—to help mitigate the impact of fluctuating fuel prices.
