The Li Auto i6 has achieved a record-high score of 99.8 points in the cabin thermal environment category for all-electric SUVs in the C-GCAP (China Green Vehicle Evaluation Protocol) tests released by China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC). This evaluation item was newly introduced in 2025 and assesses cabin comfort under scenarios such as entering a vehicle after summer sun exposure, starting the vehicle after winter cold-soak conditions, and driving during spring and autumn with fluctuating temperatures and sunlight. To optimize performance across these three scenarios, the Li Auto i6 employs multiple advanced technologies: it features four electrically controlled air vents plus one compensation vent, combined with intelligent airflow direction technology. In summer, the system first directs cool air precisely toward occupants’ faces for rapid cooling, then switches to gentle, randomized sweeping airflow. In winter, it avoids blowing cold air directly onto occupants’ faces; instead, once the air temperature rises, it precisely delivers warm air to hand and leg areas—addressing the limitations of conventional HVAC systems that offer only fixed airflow patterns and require manual adjustments. The vehicle is equipped with a multi-source direct heat pump system delivering a peak heating capacity of 17 kW and a cooling capacity of 12.5 kW—equivalent to a 5-horsepower residential air conditioner—enabling rapid cabin temperature regulation. Additionally, its intelligent TMS 2.0 system integrates multiple environmental sensors that instantly detect sunlight direction and heated zones, automatically coordinating corresponding side vents to counteract solar-induced heat and maintain optimal in-cabin thermal comfort.
