BYD Sealion 08 Flagship SUV to Make Global Debut at 2026 Beijing Auto Show

On April 9, 2025, Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of BYD Auto’s Ocean Network Sales Division, revealed that the Sealion 08 flagship SUV will make its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The Sealion 08, along with the Seal 08 sedan, belongs to BYD’s “Ocean Series 8 Dual Flagship” product lineup and was officially unveiled on December 2025 at BYD Ocean’s 4th Anniversary Ocean Day User Gala. Both models feature rear-wheel steering, which reduces turning radius and enhances vehicle agility. The 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition will be held from April 24 to May 3, 2026, across two venues—the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi) and the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center (New China International Exhibition Center Phase II)—with a total exhibition area of 380,000 square meters, the largest in the history of the Beijing Auto Show.
