On April 8, the Hainan International Cultural Exchange Center announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Dingji Automotive Culture (Hainan) Co., Ltd., officially launching efforts to bring the Formula 1 (F1) racing project to Hainan. The two parties will collaborate on areas including hosting F1 races, circuit construction, commercial operations, and integration with cultural tourism. The project plans to center around the world-class F1 Grand Prix, developing a Grade 1 racing circuit accompanied by supporting facilities such as an automotive modification plant, a racing driver training academy, comprehensive medical services, and a five-star hotel. This initiative aims to create a high-end automotive cultural industry complex integrating cultural tourism, leisure, commercial consumption, and unique experiential offerings. Dingji Automotive Culture (Hainan) Co., Ltd. was established in 2024 and is wholly owned by Changchun Dingji Automotive Culture Development Co., Ltd. The Hainan International Cultural Exchange Center, founded in 1992, is a sub-department-level public institution under the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports.
