A one-of-a-kind MINI Paceman Adventure pickup truck has recently been unveiled. Built collaboratively by BMW apprentices and their mentors, the vehicle is based on a MINI Cooper S Paceman ALL4 and was modified at BMW’s Munich and Dingolfing plants. The project team removed the original rear section and back seats, converting it into a two-seater pickup configuration. Exterior features include exclusive Jungle Green metallic paint, a roof-mounted snorkel, off-road tires, a roof rack, and a raised suspension for enhanced ground clearance. Power comes from the original 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 184 horsepower, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission and BMW’s ALL4 all-wheel-drive system—no automatic version is offered. During test drives on frozen lakes in Sweden, the vehicle demonstrated agile and nimble handling dynamics. Despite added off-road equipment, it retained a lightweight character. The combination of the manual gearbox and all-wheel drive allowed drivers precise control over the car’s slide trajectory on ice, while the steering provided clear feedback, instantly communicating changes in front-wheel grip. With the rear seats removed, the cabin feels compact and snug. Wind and road noise were notably pronounced during driving, creating a raw, vintage race-car-like driving experience.
