SAIC Volkswagen Releases Q1 Sales Figures: Total Retail Sales Reach 216,000 Units, with March Sales at 70,000 Units, Up 23.1% Month-over-Month. Starting in Q2, the company will accelerate its new product launch schedule. The all-new Volkswagen ID. ERA 9X will officially debut on April 25. Pre-sales began on March 30, offering three trim levels with a pre-sale price range of RMB 329,800 to RMB 379,800. The vehicle measures 5,207 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm. It features a six-seat layout equipped with "Queen Seats," executive-grade second-row seats, and industry-first Dynamic Zero-Gravity Seats (featuring 12L seat cushion airbags). The cabin includes dual 15.6-inch screens for driver and front passenger, plus a foldable 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted rear screen, all enhanced with view-angle compensation film technology. In terms of intelligent driving, the ID. ERA 9X is equipped with the Xingyun Intelligent Driving Assistance System, co-developed by SAIC Volkswagen and Momenta. It features 26 perception sensors and supports functions such as narrow-space assistance, highway/urban navigation pilot assist, intelligent parking, and path-tracing reverse. The chassis utilizes the Xingyun Intelligent Chassis System, featuring a closed-loop dual-chamber air suspension (with up to 150 mm of adjustable travel) and a crab-walk mode. Powertrain-wise, the ID. ERA 9X is powered by an EA211 1.5T range extender, paired with dual motors delivering peak outputs of 370 kW (front) and 380 kW (rear), producing a combined peak torque of 660 N·m and achieving 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds. It comes with a 65.2 kWh battery pack, offering CLTC pure-electric ranges of either 347 km or 406 km, and total combined ranges of up to 1,611 km or 1,651 km. Audi’s second model, the E7X, will make its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Positioned as a “smart and dynamic large five-seater SUV,” it measures 5,049 mm long, 1,997 mm wide, and 1,710 mm tall, with a 3,060 mm wheelbase. It features an all-aluminum chassis and Audi’s quattro intelligent all-wheel-drive system, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 3.97 seconds. Powered by a CATL-supplied 109 kWh battery, it delivers a CLTC range of 751 km and adopts a 900V high-voltage fast-charging architecture across all trims. Audi has already launched its “Pioneer Program” for the E7X. In 2024, SAIC Volkswagen plans to launch seven new energy vehicles, covering three technological pathways: battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs).
