On April 9, at the 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Mercedes-Benz unveiled the new-generation S-Class sedan and the all-new all-electric GLC SUV. The new S-Class sedan features an illuminated grille for the first time, with its front fascia enlarged by approximately 20% compared to the previous model. The headlights adopt a “Dual Star Emblem” design. The long-wheelbase version measures 5,304 mm in length—14 mm longer than its predecessor. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 14.4-inch central touchscreen and a 12.3-inch passenger display. The front seats incorporate 19 adjustment motors and support multiple professional massage modes. The vehicle runs on Mercedes-Benz’s proprietary MB.OS architecture, integrating domains such as driver assistance, intelligent cockpit, and performance. It also features urban and highway navigation-assisted driving systems, enabling door-to-door assisted driving and intelligent parking assistance. The chassis system includes road-surface memory and preview-based adaptive adjustments, while the rear-wheel steering system allows up to 10 degrees of steering angle in either direction. The new locally produced all-electric GLC SUV debuts with a fresh exterior design and an illuminated grille. It is offered in two body size variants: 4,949/1,970/1,710 mm and 4,933/1,914/1,690 mm (length/width/height), both sharing a wheelbase of 3,027 mm and available with a six-seat configuration. Built on the MB.EA platform, the model adopts an 800-volt electrical architecture and silicon carbide inverters. The dual-motor variant submitted for certification delivers motor outputs of 163 kW and 300 kW, respectively.
