The NIO ES9 has officially opened for pre-orders and is scheduled to launch and begin deliveries at the end of May. Positioned as a smart electric flagship executive SUV, it will be available in Executive Luxury and Executive Signature trims, with a starting pre-order price of RMB 528,000—or RMB 420,000 with the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. The ES9 features a tall, commanding stance that blends a sense of substantial presence with technological aesthetics. The cabin offers two seating configurations: a six-seat island layout and a six-seat aisle layout. The interior is upholstered in North American Angus bull Nappa leather, with soft-touch materials covering an expansive 57.6 square meters. The Horizon Special Edition adds exclusive craftsmanship details, including three-dimensional mountain-pattern embroidery on seatbacks and “Jiangshan” (meaning “rivers and mountains”) motifs on the pedals. All variants come standard with NIO’s Aviation Zero-Gravity Seats, offering 26-way power adjustment and a deep muscle relaxation mode. In terms of intelligent driving, the ES9 is equipped with 31 high-performance perception sensors and the world’s first automotive-grade 5nm autonomous driving chip, delivering computational power equivalent to four flagship chips. The chassis features an integrated hydraulic fully active suspension system and China’s first mass-produced, MIIT-certified Tianxing steer-by-wire system. Powered by a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, the ES9 is fitted with a 102 kWh battery pack, offering three CLTC range variants: 580 km, 600 km, and 620 km.
