On April 10, the latest filing list released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) revealed details of a new variant of the Xiaomi YU7, expected to be the entry-level model. The vehicle retains the same dimensions—4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,608 mm in height—with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, positioning it as a mid-to-large-sized all-electric SUV. Exterior updates include turn-signal taillights identical to those on the YU7 GT, along with optional 19-inch low-drag wheels or 20-inch "rice-grain" or "plum blossom" pattern wheels. Powering the vehicle is a rear-mounted single motor supplied by Inovance Automotive, delivering a maximum output of 235 kW—the same as the current rear-wheel-drive version. Curb weight has been reduced from 2,315 kg to 2,200 kg, a decrease of 115 kg. The new model is likely to adopt the same 73 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack used in the standard Xiaomi SU7, offering an estimated range exceeding 600 kilometers.
