From April 11 to 12, the High-Level Forum on Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development (2026) was held at Phase II of the China National Convention Center in Beijing, under the theme “Advancing the Intelligent, Green, Integrated, and International Development of New Energy Vehicles.” Li Bin, founder of NIO, stated at the forum that rapid iterations in intelligent chips and battery technologies are significantly accelerating the pace of vehicle updates. This high-frequency iteration makes it difficult to maintain supply-demand balance, causing new models to commonly face the "valley of death" effect and struggle to sustain long-term sales momentum. He remarked, “No flower blooms for a hundred days,” noting that today, virtually no new car model can remain a hot seller for more than a year, making it nearly impossible to maintain market popularity over the long term.
