GAC Group Forecasts V2G Microgrid to Deliver Over 1.5 Million kWh This Year

At the High-Level Forum on Intelligent and Electric Vehicle Development (2026), Feng Xingya, Party Secretary and Chairman of GAC Group, stated that GAC Group has invested over RMB 62 billion in self-developed technologies to date. In 2025 alone, the company completed 68 OTA updates, adding or optimizing more than 700 features cumulatively. Regarding energy replenishment infrastructure, GAC is advancing three complementary approaches simultaneously: home-based AC slow charging, public DC fast and ultra-fast charging, and battery swapping. The company has already built a nationwide network of public fast-charging stations and battery-swap stations spanning 213 cities. Additionally, GAC has established a V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) microgrid, which has entered the testing and operational phase, with expected discharge capacity exceeding 1.5 million kWh this year.
