XPeng Motors has announced it will hold a GX technology launch event on April 15. Positioned as a large six-seater SUV, the GX measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm. It features a long wheelbase, extended rear overhang, and a floating roof design. The exterior maintains XPeng’s signature minimalist aesthetic, equipped with a three-segment贯穿 light bar, split headlights, and an active grille. It also debuts a "Heaven-and-Earth" dual-opening tailgate and a panoramic glass roof. The XPeng GX will be offered in both range-extended and all-electric variants, both of which have been included in the 28th batch of China’s “Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Exempt from Purchase Tax.” The all-electric version delivers a maximum CLTC-rated range of 750 km, while the range-extended variant offers 320 km of pure electric range. Both versions feature a standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout. The range-extended model is powered by a dedicated 1.5T range-extender engine (maximum output: 110 kW), paired with front and rear motors rated at 160 kW and 210 kW, respectively. The all-electric version uses front and rear motors rated at 160 kW and 270 kW, respectively. Both variants have a top speed of 200 km/h. The GX will be the world’s first mass-produced vehicle to debut Bosch’s next-generation steer-by-wire system. Natively supporting Level 4 autonomous driving, the system integrates over 100 functions—marking the first time Level 4-capable steer-by-wire technology has been implemented in a production vehicle priced under RMB 500,000.
