Harmony Intelligent Mobility Unveils Smart Interactive Side-Door Light Carpet for First MPV, V9; Display Models Arrive Late This Month

The AITO M9, the first flagship MPV from Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), debuts with an intelligent interactive side-door light carpet. Using millimeter-wave radar to actively detect human presence, this feature automatically illuminates the light carpet and opens the door as the user approaches, while simultaneously activating the second-row swivel seats. The vehicle is equipped with dual zero-gravity seats in the second row, supporting rotation angles of 45°, 90°, and 180°, and features for the first time in its class wraparound airbags for second-row occupants. Powered by Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4 advanced intelligent driving system, the AITO M9 integrates Huawei’s 896-line LiDAR on the roof. Its front headlights employ next-generation DLP smart projection technology, enabling customizable welcome lighting animations, illuminated entry carpets, parking guidance cues, and pedestrian-yield light signals. The rear features a full-width taillight design incorporating “Crystal Diamond” and “Starry Sky” styling elements, and is available in four exterior colors: Radiant Purple, Deep Sea Blue, Snowfield White, and Gilded Black. With overall dimensions of 5,359 mm in length, 2,009 mm in width, and 1,879 mm in height—and a wheelbase of 3,250 mm—the AITO M9 is powered by Huawei’s 1.5T Xue Xiao intelligent range-extended system, delivering a maximum generator output of 115 kW. It offers four battery pack options, providing pure electric ranges of 210 km, 158 km, and 223 km respectively, and a combined range exceeding 1,250 km. The chassis features a rear-wheel active steering system (with a maximum steering angle of ±7 degrees and a minimum turning radius of 5.35 meters) and a dual-chamber air suspension that automatically adjusts ride height (up to +50 mm) and damping firmness based on vehicle speed, road conditions, and driving mode. Display vehicles will arrive at dealerships later this month.
