On April 12, 2026, GAC Group held its annual Tech Day event at its Panyu headquarters in Guangzhou under the theme “Technology with Purpose,” unveiling five core technological breakthroughs: Xingyuan Powertrain, Xingjian Body Architecture, Xinghe Intelligent Cabin, Xingling EE Architecture 4.0, and an automotive-grade chip ecosystem. In powertrain technology, GAC launched the Xingyuan Power brand, encompassing three technical pathways: range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and Super Dual-Motor Hybrid systems. The Xingyuan PHEV features a 1.5T hybrid engine delivering a maximum output of 125 kW and peak torque of 245 N·m, paired with two hybrid transmission variants—Leiting (Thunder) and Jifeng (Gale). The Leiting variant enables mid-to-large SUVs to achieve 0–100 km/h acceleration in under 4 seconds, with a total four-wheel-drive axle torque of up to 10,000 N·m. The Jifeng variant weighs just 98.5 kg, making it China’s first mass-produced dual-motor hybrid transmission under 100 kg; it allows B-segment MPVs to achieve fuel consumption below 3 L/100 km and A-segment sedans below 2 L/100 km. The Xingyuan Super Dual-Motor Hybrid system integrates a 5.4 kWh high-rate safety battery, supporting up to 17 km of pure electric range, 2.2 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) power output, and Sentry Mode. When applied to a 2.1-ton B-segment MPV, this system reduces fuel consumption to under 3 L/100 km—a 14% improvement over the previous generation’s oil-hybrid model. For body structure, the Xingjian Body employs an “embedded frame beam + multi-ring cage” design, achieving a torsional rigidity of 38,000 N·m/°—approximately four times that of traditional rugged off-road benchmarks—and a bending rigidity of 42,000 N/mm, 1.5 times the industry average. This architecture has undergone over 600 simulation iterations, more than 3,000 hours of bench testing, and over one million kilometers of real-world all-terrain road testing. In intelligent cabin technology, the Xinghe Intelligent Cabin, powered by the ADiGO Intelligence system, leverages real-world operational data from over 3.75 million vehicles. It integrates a multimodal perception engine, a memory-based multi-agent collaboration engine, and an emotion expression engine. End-to-end response latency is under 1.6 seconds, in-cabin object recognition accuracy exceeds 95%, and it can simultaneously coordinate 15 AI skills to support end-to-end services such as route planning, restaurant queuing, and parking reservations. Deeply integrated with Alibaba’s Qwen large language model, it also connects to Alibaba’s broader ecosystem. Regarding electronic and electrical (EE) architecture, Xingling 4.0 features a flagship 3nm chip and is the industry’s first to unify six domains—intelligent driving, intelligent cabin, powertrain, chassis, body, and connectivity—into a single architecture. Its overall performance improves by 40% compared to the previous generation, and full-vehicle OTA updates can now be completed in as little as 8 minutes. In chip ecosystem development, GAC has partnered with 105 companies to co-develop 51 automotive-grade chips and jointly validate nearly 400 chip models. It also unveiled China’s first intelligent new energy vehicle with 100% domestically designed chips—the Hyper GT Summit Edition—equipped with 1,004 Chinese-made chips throughout the vehicle. All technologies have clear mass-production roadmaps: - Xingyuan range-extended technology is already deployed in the Hyper HL. - Xingyuan PHEV will power GAC Trumpchi’s upcoming rugged off-road SUV. - Xingyuan Super Dual-Motor Hybrid will debut on the new Trumpchi M8, scheduled for launch later this year. - The first vehicle featuring the Xingjian Body will be Trumpchi’s new rugged off-road SUV, set to premiere at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026. - Partial functions of the Xinghe Intelligent Cabin will begin rolling out on production models in mid-April, with full functionality gradually deployed starting Q3 2026. - Xingling EE Architecture 4.0 is expected to enter mass production in Q3 2026. - The Hyper GT Summit Edition will launch in May 2026. This comprehensive technology portfolio spans vehicle segments from A-segment sedans to MPVs and from rugged off-roaders to premium smart EVs, primarily targeting the RMB 150,000–300,000 price segment.
