The 2026 Beijing Half Marathon took place on April 12, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Beijing International Long-Distance Running Festival and the 10th anniversary of the event’s upgrade to a half marathon. The 21.0975-kilometer race started at Tiananmen Square and finished at the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), running along Beijing’s central axis. Seven aid stations and 1,300 portable toilets were set up along the course. Wang Wenjie, a student from Tsinghua University, broke the men's national half marathon record with a time of 1:01:15, improving the previous record by 31 seconds. The Xiaomi YU7 served as the official vehicle of this year’s event, featuring timing signage on its roof, with two YU7s leading the runners at the front of the pack. Over 20 Xiaomi car owners and more than 30 Xiaomi employees registered for the race, and some participants took photos in front of the YU7 after the event. In 2025, the official vehicles for the race were Porsche models.
