The Great Wall Ora 5 Limited Edition EV officially launched on April 13, with only 99 units available for sale at a recommended retail price of RMB 133,800—matching the price of the Ora 5 580km LiDAR version. This special edition features new additions including Dunhuang Green paint, exclusive badging, embroidered center console lid, custom “Kiwi” floor mats, bespoke wallpapers, and a unique voice pack. It also comes with limited-time offers such as a "Trade-in Bonus" and "Financing Incentives." At the launch event, brand ambassador Hou Minghao participated in the first vehicle handover and took photos with the initial batch of owners. Co-created by Great Wall Ora, Hou Minghao, and his fan community, this limited edition underwent nine rounds of reviews and over 46 design revisions, with every detail—from exterior color and interior trim to fine touches—jointly developed through deep collaboration among all three parties. During the same event, Hou Minghao also took part in real-world road testing of the Ora 5 PHEV (plug-in hybrid). Real-world tests showed that under urban congested driving conditions, the series mode delivers fuel savings of 35% to 50%, achieving a range exceeding 1,100 km on a single tank of fuel. On highways, thanks to the P3 motor’s active disengagement technology, fuel consumption is further reduced by an additional 10% to 15%. The vehicle is equipped with the Coffee GPT large language model for voice interaction, dialect recognition, AI-powered sketching, and other features. Advanced driver-assistance capabilities—including map-free NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) and multi-level memory parking—are planned for future rollout across multiple powertrain variants. This event also addressed public remarks made by Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun regarding inflated fuel economy claims in the industry, underscoring the company’s commitment to verifying product performance through real-world driving tests.
