BYD has rolled out a new OTA update for vehicles equipped with the DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system, with the 2024 Denza N7 being the first model to receive the upgrade. This update introduces a five-camera dashcam feature and enables automatic upload of risk-related video footage when Sentry Mode is active. Development for certain other models has already been completed and is now in the filing stage; if all goes smoothly, these features are expected to be widely deployed as early as early May. Key updates include: automatic activation of the 360-degree camera view when the vehicle speed drops below 15 km/h and the turn signal is engaged; and a new “Parking Assist” option added to customizable buttons, allowing one-touch access to the parking interface. Following the upgrade, overall system responsiveness has improved, and stuttering during simultaneous use of navigation and music playback has been alleviated. Additionally, the updated dashcam will now record the driver’s hand-on-wheel actions—compatible with both capacitive and non-capacitive steering wheels—to assist in determining liability in accidents. Notably, the previously announced “lane-level navigation” feature is not included in this update.
