Smart #6 Launches with Over 1,000 km Range; Concept #2 Debuts Simultaneously

On April 24, the smart brand launched the pre-sale of the smart #6 at the Beijing Auto Show and unveiled the smart #2 Prototype Concept car. The smart #6 EHD Super Hybrid features a closed-off front fascia, LiDAR, and flush door handles. It measures 4,906 mm in length, 1,922 mm in width, and 1,508 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,926 mm. At the rear, it sports blacked-out taillights, a liftback tailgate, and an optional electric rear spoiler. The interior follows the brand’s signature design language, equipped with dual integrated displays, offered in three color schemes, and features a Sennheiser audio system with peak output exceeding 2,000 watts. The EHD Super Hybrid powertrain combines a dedicated 1.5T hybrid engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum output of 120 kW, and the vehicle is expected to achieve a combined driving range of over 1,000 kilometers. The smart #2 Prototype Concept is an upgraded evolution of the original smart fortwo, positioned as a fully electric two-seater urban vehicle designed by the Mercedes-Benz design team. Retaining the iconic four-wheel, four-corner layout and rear-wheel-drive configuration, the concept debuts with an entirely new exterior and interior design. Initially offered as a two-door hardtop, a convertible version may follow in the future.
