The new large SUV from Voyah, the Taishan X8, will open for pre-orders on April 22. The vehicle debuts with Huawei’s next-generation 896-line quad-LiDAR system and features dual 15.6-inch intelligent panoramic displays. It is available in six exterior colors and measures 5,200 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,814 mm in height. Exterior design follows the “Kunpeng Spreading Wings” design language. The front fascia features a closed-off vertical waterfall-style illuminated grille with the brand logo embedded at its center and an integrated light bar above. The main headlamp units are seamlessly incorporated into the black grille area. The side profile showcases smooth character lines and a gently sloping roofline, complemented by semi-flush door handles, flared wheel arches, and black trim panels on the front fenders. Large-diameter wheels feature chrome-polished finishes paired with red high-performance brake calipers, while electric welcome running boards are installed along the lower door sills. At the rear, full-width matrix taillights incorporate the “VOYAH” emblem at their center, with a small blue indicator light below signaling autonomous driving status. The roof-mounted spoiler and rear windshield are designed with an aerodynamic angle. Inside, the cabin offers three color schemes: Rosewood, Vermilion Orange, and Cedar. With a spacious interior volume of 6.1 square meters, it features “Dual Comfort Reclining Zero-Gravity Seats” that support three seating configurations: Presidential Three-Seater, Luxury Four-Seater, and Spacious Five-Seater layouts. It also introduces a fully automatic one-touch bed conversion function for the first time. Comfort amenities include mechanical kneading massage, ventilated and heated seats, a 13-liter dual-door refrigerator, a 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted screen, a 29-speaker VoyahSound audio system, 100% soft-touch materials on all high-contact surfaces, velvet headliner, and 20 zones of 256-color ambient lighting. Powertrain options include both PHEV (plug-in hybrid) and EV (battery-electric) variants. The PHEV version is equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, delivering a maximum engine output of 110 kW. Two motor configurations are offered: either a front motor rated at 150 kW paired with a rear motor of 215 kW, or a front motor of 150 kW combined with a more powerful rear motor of 230 kW. The PHEV model comes with a 65 kWh battery pack, offering pure electric ranges of 190 km, 300 km, and 310 km respectively, with fuel consumption under low-battery conditions rated at 6.8 L/100 km and 6.5 L/100 km. The EV variant features a 120 kWh battery pack and supports an 800V high-voltage platform along with 5C ultra-fast charging technology.
