The BMW M3 40th Anniversary Edition made its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the M3, the special edition is scheduled to launch in China in the second half of 2026, with only 40 units available nationwide. The Touring variant features a bespoke Wildberry Red paint finish, complemented by gold 826M multi-spoke wheels and red M high-performance brake calipers. The sedan version, meanwhile, is finished in Laguna Seca Blue—a hue named after the famed racetrack—and paired with black 826M multi-spoke wheels and blue M high-performance brake calipers. Both models debut a black-framed kidney grille and darkened headlight clusters for the first time. Exclusive “40th Anniversary Edition” badges appear on the roof, door sill plates, front seat headrests, and center console cup holder. Standard equipment includes M carbon-fiber bucket seats and an M multifunction Alcantara steering wheel with heating. According to official figures, the sedan has a theoretical top speed of 290 km/h, while the Touring model reaches up to 280 km/h.
