On April 10, FAW Audi held its Intelligent Electrification Tech Day and Flagship EV Launch Event at the FAW Audi Super Smart Eco-Factory in Changchun, officially unveiling two all-electric models: the Audi A6L e-tron and the Audi Q6L e-tron family. The Audi A6L e-tron is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), marking the first locally produced sedan based on this luxury EV architecture. It is priced between RMB 309,800 and RMB 439,800. Equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun Smart Driving® technology, the vehicle features dual LiDAR sensors, an 800V electrical architecture across all domains, the “Baichuan Nadian” intelligent charging system, a 107 kWh battery pack, electric quattro all-wheel drive, and adaptive air suspension. The manufacturer claims a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds and a CLTC-rated range of up to 815 kilometers. With a drag coefficient of just 0.22, the car also boasts a full-width digital OLED taillight, second-generation electronic exterior mirrors, and a “Six-Screen Synergy” cockpit system. Simultaneously launched was the refreshed Audi Q6L e-tron family, offered at a limited-time price range of RMB 269,800 to RMB 419,800. It comes in three variants: Long Range, Ultra Long Range Qiankun Smart Driving® Edition, and quattro Qiankun Smart Driving® Edition. The top variant delivers a CLTC range of up to 715 kilometers and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The Q6L e-tron features enhanced intelligent driving assistance, upgraded software functions, and improved cabin interaction capabilities, supporting features such as narrow-lane U-turns, roundabout navigation, and remote parking. It also includes a China-specific intelligent cockpit. Both models are produced at the FAW Audi NEV Co., Ltd.’s Super Smart Eco-Factory—the first Audi production facility in China dedicated exclusively to battery-electric vehicles. FAW Audi stated that it is advancing its “Dual-Track Strategy for ICE and EVs with Full Intelligence,” concurrently developing the PPC intelligent combustion-engine platform and the PPE pure-electric platform, and has already partnered with leading Chinese companies including Huawei and CATL. Actress Song Jia attended the event as Audi’s “Ingenuity & Elegance Ambassador.” Senior executives including Liu Yigong, General Manager of China FAW Group; Johannes Rosenthal, President of Audi China; and Wei Silang, General Manager of FAW Audi Sales Co., Ltd., all delivered speeches emphasizing the continued deepening of Sino-German collaboration to accelerate Audi’s electrification and intelligent transformation in the Chinese market.
