Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) will host its 2026 "Super Tech Day" event on April 21 under the theme "The Promise of Extreme Domains," where it plans to unveil products including sodium-ion batteries, condensed-phase batteries, and fast-charging technologies. The company previously stated that this launch event will be its most technology-intensive since inception, introducing multiple new technologies, products, and ecosystem solutions targeting core industry challenges. According to CATL’s first-quarter 2026 financial report released on April 15, the company recorded revenue of RMB 129.131 billion for the quarter, an increase of 52.45% year-over-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company reached RMB 20.738 billion, up 48.52% year-over-year. Net profit after adjusting for non-recurring gains and losses stood at RMB 18.093 billion, a 52.95% year-over-year increase. Net cash flow from operating activities amounted to RMB 33.681 billion, rising 2.47% compared to the same period last year. Both basic and diluted earnings per share were RMB 4.58, an increase of 44.03% year-over-year. The weighted average return on equity was 5.98%, up 0.49 percentage points year-over-year. R&D expenses totaled RMB 5.314 billion, an increase of 10.39% from the previous period. The company also announced a cash dividend distribution of RMB 69.57 per 10 shares.
