On April 24, 2026, the 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition will open at the Capital International Convention and Exhibition Center. FAW Audi will showcase multiple models at the event, including the Audi Formula 1 show car R26, making its China debut. The R26 commemorates Audi’s official entry into the FIA Formula One World Championship in 2026 and its on-track debut at the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix. The high-performance flagship SUV, the new Audi SQ8, will make its official market launch at the auto show. Powered by a 4.0T V8 twin-turbocharged engine and featuring a sleek coupe-style fastback design, it embodies sporty elegance. Also making its China premiere is the all-new Audi S5 Avant, highlighting its performance credentials combined with the practicality of a wagon body style. In addition, FAW Audi will display a range of models including the A5L, all-new A6L, all-new Q5L, A6L e-tron, and the Q6L e-tron family. Notably, the all-new Audi Q5L is the world’s first premium gasoline-powered SUV equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent driving technology. This advanced driver-assistance system will become available for optional pre-order just ahead of the auto show. FAW Audi is actively advancing its “Dual-Track Intelligent Strategy,” simultaneously enhancing both internal combustion engine and electric vehicles through intelligent upgrades based on two dedicated platforms: the PPC (Premium Platform Combustion) for intelligent premium ICE vehicles and the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) for luxury EVs. The company stated that, drawing on 38 years of localized expertise and a user-centric philosophy, it will continue driving the evolution of intelligent premium mobility through a comprehensive product portfolio and cutting-edge technologies.
