BYD Sealion 05 Launches at ¥97,900 with Blade Battery Gen 2, Flash Charging, and God's Eye B ADAS

BYD Ocean Network officially launched the all-new Sealion 05 on April 21. The Sealion 05 EV is priced between RMB 119,900 and RMB 145,900, while the Sealion 05 DM-i ranges from RMB 97,900 to RMB 127,900. The new model retains the current design language and introduces two new exterior colors—Seashell Pink and Coral Orange. The interior offers two fresh color schemes: Almond Beige and Dusk Blue, and features a stalk-mounted electronic gear selector. The center console includes an innovative “Dynamic Island” storage compartment, with over 30 storage spaces throughout the cabin. The vehicle measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,630 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. The cabin is equipped with the advanced DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit system, featuring a 15.6-inch high-definition central touchscreen that supports a redesigned UI, a deeply customized version of Amap navigation, multi-device connectivity, and 10 smart scene modes. The Sealion 05 EV comes with a 110-liter front trunk offering six opening methods: knock-to-unlock, external micro-switch, cloud-service app, in-cabin voice control, and more. It also features an intelligent temperature-controlled refrigerator with a range from -6°C to 50°C and a co-pilot zero-gravity simulation seat. For intelligent driving, the Sealion 05 offers an optional “Eyes of God B” LiDAR-assisted driving package (DiPilot 300), which includes a LiDAR sensor and supports City Navigation on Autopilot (CNOA), Highway Navigation on Autopilot (HNOA), Emergency Steering Assist (ESA), roundabout navigation, and other advanced functions. Powertrain-wise, the Sealion 05 EV is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, available in two CLTC range variants: 540 km and 630 km. It supports flash charging technology—adding significant range in just 5 minutes under normal temperatures and reaching a high state of charge in 9 minutes. Charging time increases by approximately 3 minutes in cold conditions. The Sealion 05 DM-i offers two CLTC pure-electric range options: 220 km and 305 km. With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, it achieves a combined maximum range of up to 2,105 km and delivers a NEDC-rated fuel consumption of just 3.1 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. The 305 km pure-electric range variant meets the “charge once a week” requirement for typical urban commuting.
