Smart has recently unveiled the first official design sketches and detailed images of the Smart #2 Concept, announcing that the model will make its debut at the brand’s “Night of Smart” event on April 22, alongside the global premiere of the Smart #6. The Smart #2 Concept was developed by Mercedes-Benz’s global design team, reimagining the two-seater urban DNA of the original Smart Fortwo for the electric era while preserving its compact proportions and core design philosophy. Finished in a matte white and gold two-tone scheme, the concept features fluid body lines and meticulously crafted details, blending modern minimalism with premium fashion elements to emphasize a fusion of individual expression and practical functionality. The Smart #6 marks the brand’s first luxury hatchback sedan and will launch initially in mainland China. Its exterior showcases sculptural lines that embody a design language described as “elegant at rest, sharp in motion,” highlighted by a “shark nose” front fascia, an elongated fastback silhouette, and muscular shoulder lines that convey dynamic athleticism. Inside, a clean, minimalist aesthetic paired with refined craftsmanship creates an intuitive and luxurious interactive space. Retaining Smart’s signature “four-wheel-at-corner” layout, the #6 achieves an industry-leading cabin space utilization ratio of 86% within its segment—delivering a remarkably spacious interior despite its sleek fastback profile.
