BYD's Fangcheng Bao brand announced it will unveil its all-new "FORMULA" series at a launch event during the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, 2026. The event will be live-streamed online starting at 9:40 AM that day. The name "FORMULA" echoes the "equation" concept embedded in the brand’s Chinese name, emphasizing the idea that "there’s more than one right answer," reflecting the brand’s exploration of diverse technological pathways and product forms. Distinct from the existing Bao series—focused on rugged off-road SUVs—and the Tai series, which targets family-friendly, fun-oriented SUVs, the FORMULA series will debut Fangcheng Bao’s first-ever sedan. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized sporty coupe, the vehicle will exceed five meters in length and feature a sleek fastback design. It is expected to be equipped with a tri-motor system and will emphasize being "stylish, fun, and highly maneuverable." The series is slated to include models such as the "Fangcheng 7" and "Fangcheng 9," all of which will come standard with BYD’s FlashCharge technology.
