FAW Hongqi Partners with Huawei on "Three Intelligences, Dual Smarts" Model for Smart Vehicles

FAW Hongqi has adopted Huawei Qiankun's "Three Intelligences & Dual Intelligence" collaboration model, taking the lead in product definition, manufacturing, and sales, while Huawei provides core intelligent technologies including intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, and digital chassis. The partnership will initially focus on Hongqi’s flagship "Series 9" models—namely the H9, E-HS9, and HQ9—with updated versions featuring Huawei’s full suite of intelligent technologies scheduled for launch by 2026. Huawei Qiankun currently offers three cooperation models: Full-Stack, Three Intelligences & Dual Intelligence, and Component modes. Brands under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), such as Avatr and Dongfeng Mengshi, adopt the Full-Stack model; Dongfeng Voyah and Changan Deepal use the Three Intelligences & Dual Intelligence model; while BYD Fangchengbao and Audi employ the Component model. Huawei Qiankun is Huawei’s brand for intelligent automotive technology solutions, specializing in providing core hardware and software technologies. Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), on the other hand, represents a co-built ecosystem and business model between Huawei and automakers, aiming to deliver a unified “Huawei-quality” experience through deep collaboration. To date, HIMA has jointly launched five major brands—including Aito and Luxeed—with partners such as Seres and Chery. With this new partnership, all eight major state-owned automakers, including FAW Group, have now established collaborations with Huawei, though each employs a different cooperation model.
