Goldman Sachs has raised its forecast for China's robotaxi fleet size, citing factors such as declining costs, expansion of fleet scale and service coverage, software optimization, and growing public acceptance. The firm revised its 2026 projection upward from 13,000 to 14,000 vehicles, representing 0.3% of the shared mobility fleet; its 2030 forecast was increased from 632,000 to 705,000 vehicles, or 12% of the shared fleet; and its 2035 projection was raised from 2.5 million to 3.1 million vehicles, accounting for 36% of the shared mobility fleet.
