On April 17, a Xiaomi SU7 Max collided with a large truck at a T-junction on a rural road. The accident was caused by limited visibility due to a curve and obstructing trees, and traffic police determined that the SU7 Max driver was fully at fault. The impact severely deformed the vehicle’s side structure and deployed all airbags, but the passenger compartment remained largely intact. The driver sustained no injuries and was able to resume normal activities the following day. Following the incident, Xiaomi’s after-sales service promptly contacted the owner to confirm their safety and assist with follow-up matters. The owner expressed satisfaction with the vehicle’s safety performance and has already placed a new order for the same model. The owner also clarified that the tarp covering the vehicle at the accident scene was requested personally to protect the car and ensure privacy, and was not an official action by Xiaomi.
