XPeng Motors has announced that its new model, the XPeng GX, will partner with Tencent Cloud Gaming to debut a racing game that natively supports steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire systems. The game operates only when the vehicle is stationary, directly utilizing the car’s actual steering wheel, accelerator pedal, and brake pedal as input controllers—eliminating the need for external gamepads or touchscreen controls. The system features realistic steering wheel haptic feedback, synchronized accelerator and brake response, ultra-low 10ms latency, and multi-screen interaction—including displays on the HUD and the central "Tech Island" screen. Enabled by the vehicle’s wire-controlled chassis, the game delivers a unique in-place driving experience where the wheels remain stationary while simulating dynamic motion. The XPeng GX is the brand’s first full-size luxury SUV. Pre-sales began on April 15, starting at RMB 399,800. It comes equipped with native steer-by-wire technology and rear-wheel active steering, measures 5.2 meters in length, and boasts a turning radius of just 5.4 meters.
