BYD has launched a new variant of the Yuan PLUS, unveiling official interior images. The new model features a minimalist design language, with an enlarged central infotainment screen, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and a wireless charging pad added beneath the center console. While retaining some physical buttons, it also increases the number of in-cabin speakers. The dashboard adopts straight, clean lines accented by ambient lighting, uses conventional mechanical door handles, and delivers an overall enhanced sense of quality. Exterior-wise, the new model sports slim, elongated headlamps and front bumper vents on both sides for improved airflow and cooling. It measures 4,665 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm—slightly larger than the previous model. Semi-recessed door handles are used, while the D-pillar trim is available in multiple colors. Wheel options include 18-inch and 19-inch designs. At the rear, a dual-section high-mounted brake light is integrated into a full-width light bar; when illuminated, the taillights form a sleek, flowing shape, offering high visual recognition. Under the hood, the new Yuan PLUS is built on a rear-wheel-drive pure electric platform and will be offered with two motor options delivering maximum outputs of 200 kW and 240 kW, respectively. It is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and supports flash charging technology. The expected starting price is approximately RMB 150,000.
