BYD has released official interior images of the third-generation Yuan PLUS, which is scheduled to make its global debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. Positioned as the “Yuan Power Smart & Fun Flash-Charging SUV,” the new model features a brand-new two-spoke steering wheel, a larger central infotainment screen, and a shift-by-wire system relocated to the steering column (column-mounted gear selector). The center console now includes a wireless charging pad, retains some physical buttons, and adds more interior speakers. The vehicle has been included in the latest batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) catalog of new energy vehicles eligible for purchase tax exemption. It will be offered with two battery options: 57.545 kWh and 68.547 kWh, delivering CLTC-rated all-electric ranges of 540 km and 630 km, respectively. The vehicle measures 4,665 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,675 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. Power comes from a rear-mounted single motor available in two outputs—200 kW and 240 kW. The new model is expected to feature BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and its proprietary flash-charging technology.
