The General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province has issued the "Guangdong Action Plan for Accelerating High-Level, Whole-Domain, Around-the-Clock, and Cross-Industry Applications of Artificial Intelligence," which calls for accelerating the large-scale application of intelligent driving in the field of "AI+" connected and autonomous vehicles. Leveraging the advantages of Guangzhou and Shenzhen as hubs for new energy vehicle industrial clusters, the plan emphasizes strengthening the deployment of key components such as intelligent and connected vehicle parts and speeding up AI applications in areas like autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits. The plan explicitly supports automakers in applying through established procedures for market access and pilot road testing of Level 3 (L3) autonomous driving vehicles, promotes mutual recognition mechanisms for cross-regional testing and demonstration of intelligent connected vehicles, and systematically advances intelligent driving tests and commercial operations within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
