At 10:44 a.m. on April 22, 2026, a passenger vehicle began emitting smoke in an underground garage on Zhongxin Street, Houjing Village, Chengbei Road, Xiangzhou Subdistrict, Chengqu District, Shanwei City, Guangdong Province. Upon receiving the report, the Shanwei Fire and Rescue Brigade dispatched seven fire engines and 45 firefighters to the scene, with both brigade- and battalion-level full-duty command teams simultaneously mobilized. The first-response team arrived at the scene at 10:51 a.m., brought the incident under control by 11:13 a.m., and completed all response operations by 12:30 p.m. No casualties were reported.
