Huawei Unveils New Zhijing Motor System Brand, Reveals Specs and First Vehicle

At the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Spring New Product Launch Event held on April 22, Huawei officially unveiled its new "Zhi Qing" (Smart Drive) electric motor system brand. The system currently ranks first in China in terms of powertrain quality performance for passenger vehicles and shipment volume of powertrains for models priced above RMB 300,000, with a cumulative safe driving distance of 40 billion kilometers. Huawei’s Zhi Qing system features a dual 94% silicon carbide (SiC) power platform, achieving a range-extender generation efficiency exceeding 94%—higher than the industry average of 91%. Its pure-electric operating efficiency also surpasses 94%, outperforming the industry average of 92%. The system supports an automatic off-road mode equipped with an adaptive dog-clutch differential lock, enabling ultra-low-speed crawling as slow as 0.5 km/h and reducing speed fluctuations by over 55% on rough terrain. The system integrates Huawei’s self-developed SiC modules, a 56-turn high-efficiency motor, and intelligent AI algorithms, combined with a planetary gear architecture, low-viscosity lubricants, and an ultra-thin 0.15mm insulation system, all working in concert with intelligent energy management to enhance the efficiency of new energy vehicle powertrains. The first vehicle to feature Huawei’s Zhi Qing multi-in-one highly integrated electric drive system will be the GAC Toyota bZ7, scheduled for market launch in March 2026. It achieves a motor efficiency of 97.5% and a platform maximum speed of 22,000 RPM.
