The Denza Z convertible will make its global debut on April 24, 2026, at 10:20 AM during the 19th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. Positioned as the “world’s first intelligent electric supercar,” the model follows the hardtop version, which premiered at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Official teaser images reveal that the version on display will be the convertible variant, featuring a soft-top design emphasizing freedom, emotion, and the joy of the journey. The Denza Z series offers three variants: the hardtop focuses on pure driving pleasure and track-oriented technology; the convertible blends sunshine, social interaction, and everyday lifestyle scenarios; and the track edition integrates top-tier powertrain performance, lightweight materials, and exclusive owner authentication. Visually, the vehicle features a red body paired with a black roof and racing stripes, accentuating its sense of speed. Technologically, the Denza Z is equipped with BYD’s self-developed Yunniang-M and Yi-Sanfang systems, aiming to establish an ultimate physical safety zone to ensure security even under high-performance driving conditions. The hardtop version features China’s first fully in-house developed steer-by-wire system, offering capabilities such as automatic recognition of driver errors, collision avoidance under extreme conditions, adjustable steering ratios, and intelligent learning of driver intent. It also debuts China’s first mass-producible, fully collapsible steering wheel developed entirely in-house, eliminating the mechanical steering column to reduce intrusion risk in collisions and enabling a one-touch expansion of the driver’s space by 14%.
