At the Huawei Qiankun Technology Conference held on April 23, 2026, Yijing Automobile unveiled its first flagship large six-seater SUV, the Yijing X9, which will make its public debut the following day at the 2026 Beijing International Auto Show. Yijing is a mid-to-high-end intelligent automotive brand jointly launched by Dongfeng Motor Group and Huawei on November 20, 2025. The Yijing X9 measures over 5,301 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm and features the brand’s “Latitude-Longitude Lightflow” design language. Its front fascia height adheres to the golden ratio of 0.618 relative to the overall vehicle height. A seamless, perfectly flat character line runs continuously from the front to the rear of the vehicle. The intersection lines of the A- and D-pillars have been precisely calculated to optimize visual balance and center of gravity. Integrated into the front corners are 412 dual-color ISD (Intelligent Signal Display) interactive LEDs, complemented by a 1.83-meter full-width light bar that delivers a seamless, grain-free, and uniformly bright visual effect. At the rear, the “Luminous Curtain” design houses 1,172 ISD LEDs, creating a highly distinctive red “starry river” signature lighting effect. The vehicle also features Huawei’s million-pixel intelligent projection headlights, supporting the “Starry Path” welcome lighting sequence and allowing users to remotely customize their own lighting greetings. The body paint process employs a 5C2B (five-coat, two-bake) technique—comprising five independent spray applications and two high-temperature curing cycles—executed by 68 robotic arms through over 100 precise steps. Six bespoke exterior colors are offered: Tuscany Red, Bordeaux Purple, Aegean Blue, Lisbon Black, Alpine White, and Andes Gray. In terms of safety, the Yijing X9 comes standard across all trims with Huawei Qiankun CAS 5.0 active safety system. For passive safety, it utilizes 2,400-megapascal ultra-high-strength steel—a 20% increase over the industry-standard 2,000 MPa—and features triple-layer “bulletproof-grade” battery armor. Additionally, it incorporates a multi-layer redundant emergency rescue safety architecture. Inside the cabin, the X9 debuts the next-generation HarmonyOS Cockpit paired with Huawei’s dual 17.2-inch Butterfly Wing displays, enabling seamless interaction across ten screens. It also supports the new-generation XiaoYi AI agent and an AI-powered multimodal perception system. For driving dynamics, every Yijing X9 is equipped as standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system, featuring an 896-line LiDAR sensor. Built upon Huawei’s xMotion-enabled “Chitu Platform,” the vehicle also comes standard with a full aluminum chassis.
