On April 23, 2026, Wang Chao, President of Huawei Intelligent Electric Product Line, officially launched the "Huawei Zhiqing" brand at the Huawei Zhiqing & Huawei Super Charging Strategy and New Product Launch Event, unveiling its technological achievements and future direction in the vehicle motion domain for new energy vehicles. The day before, Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Executive Director, had already unveiled the "Huawei Zhiqing" brand for the first time at Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s Spring New Product Launch Event. Wang Chao stated that the intelligent cockpit domain, motion domain, and intelligent driving domain will form the “new three core components” of smart vehicles, establishing a closed-loop system of “perception-decision-execution” to drive a technological leap in the automotive industry. Among these, the motion domain—serving as the physical foundation of the execution layer—encompasses systems such as propulsion, braking, steering, and suspension, and is critical to enabling advanced intelligent driving, dynamic performance, and safety. Huawei Zhiqing focuses on three core pillars: “Energy Efficiency at the Core, Motion Essence, and Safety as the Foundation.” In terms of energy efficiency, Huawei introduced a dual 94% efficiency silicon carbide power platform, achieving over 94% efficiency in both range-extender generation and pure electric operation modes. This translates to approximately 6 additional kWh generated per 50 liters of fuel and roughly 50 extra kilometers driven per 100 kWh of electricity. New models equipped with this solution—delivering 12 kilometers per kWh—will launch in 2026. Regarding motion performance, Huawei Zhiqing’s powertrain achieves an industry-leading efficiency of 94.36%. Its fully-wire-controlled electric braking system reduces response time to just 78 ms. Through an integrated control system enabling near-end closed-loop control, single-wheel control cycles are shortened by 50%, while precision improves by 50%. Moreover, Huawei’s technology has enabled a 2.65-ton SUV to complete a “1.2-meter standing long jump” test and allowed a 2.7-ton SUV to tow a heavy-duty truck on ice, as well as perform complex maneuvers like on-the-spot U-turns and “reverse drifting,” all powered by a “16-motor integrated control” solution that enhances vehicle maneuverability and safety. On safety, Huawei Zhiqing has built an end-to-end safety architecture spanning “components–system architecture–driving operations,” providing cross-system redundancy through integrated drive and brake control. Even in the extreme scenario where all four wheel brake calipers fail, the vehicle can still achieve smooth deceleration and safe stopping via the drive system. When EMB (Electro-Mechanical Braking) fails on snowy or slippery surfaces, the system uses motor-based “pulse braking” to prevent wheel lockup and maintain directional control. By the end of 2025, Huawei Zhiqing powertrains had shipped over 2.4 million units, accumulating more than 40 billion kilometers of safe driving. The brand has ranked #1 in powertrain quality performance for mid-to-high-end new energy vehicles for three consecutive years and led domestic shipments in vehicles priced above RMB 300,000 for two consecutive years. Huawei Zhiqing’s inaugural Brand Day event will be held in May 2026 at Huawei’s Songshan Lake campus, where further technological advancements and brand updates will be unveiled.
