On the afternoon of April 23, Tencent held the 2026 TIME DAY · Smart Mobility Technology Open Day in Beijing, officially launching its "Full-Scenario Mobility Intelligence Agent Open Platform" for the automotive industry. Tang Daosheng, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent and CEO of the Cloud & Smart Industries Group, stated that competition in the automotive sector is being redefined by artificial intelligence. In the future, the gap between automakers will no longer hinge on whether they possess intelligent capabilities, but rather on how quickly they can achieve large-scale, systematic implementation of AI. Tang emphasized that AI’s impact on the automotive industry has gone beyond individual functions and is now deeply reshaping the entire enterprise value chain. Automakers must simultaneously build capabilities in data closed-loop systems, model applications, and organizational adoption of AI. More profound transformations are occurring within internal operations—vehicle intelligence is not merely about “putting AI into cars,” but about “rebuilding enterprises with AI,” encompassing traditionally human-dependent areas such as R&D collaboration, office workflows, marketing conversion, and customer service. The newly launched Intelligence Agent Open Platform comprises three layers: foundational capabilities, platform capabilities, and an application ecosystem, offering full-stack capabilities to accelerate the deployment of intelligent agents in enterprise scenarios. The platform also introduces seven core scenario-based intelligent agents—including “On-the-Go Ordering,” “On-the-Go Guide,” and “On-the-Go Explore”—aimed at delivering smarter, more personalized in-cabin experiences for users.
