FAW-Volkswagen’s ID. AURA T6 made its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Positioned as a midsize, five-seat all-electric SUV, the vehicle embodies the “Practical Naturalism” design philosophy, continuing Volkswagen’s signature clean, straight lines with enduring appeal while seamlessly integrating rational functionality and high-efficiency design. Optimized proportions and stance balance interior spaciousness with ground clearance, while gloss-black wheel arches and pronounced fender flares enhance the vehicle’s solid, robust presence. The hood features a subtle natural rise, and the rear incorporates horizontal geometric lines, together delivering a poised and confident visual impression. Technologically, the ID. AURA T6 debuts Volkswagen’s new CEA (Centralized Electronic Architecture), offering enhanced computing power and enabling faster feature iteration. Its advanced driver-assistance system was co-developed by Volkswagen Group and Horizon Robotics through their joint venture, CoreDrive, targeting premium intelligent driving assistance and aiming to position the vehicle among the industry’s top tier. Notably, the ID. AURA T6 is among the first Volkswagen-branded new energy SUVs equipped with LiDAR, featuring sensor hardware specifications that rank among the industry’s best. FAW-Volkswagen plans to launch two AURA-series all-electric models in 2026 and will introduce the ID. AURA T6 to the market later this year. This debut marks the official launch of the AURA product lineup and underscores FAW-Volkswagen’s strategic pace and market positioning in the intelligent electric vehicle segment.
