On April 24, BYD officially unveiled the third-generation Yuan PLUS at the 2024 Beijing International Auto Show. As a key model in BYD’s global strategy, the Yuan PLUS has already surpassed 1.1 million cumulative global sales. The new generation features comprehensive upgrades in platform architecture, powertrain, range, intelligent features, and dimensions, and is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2024. The new model is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated all-electric range of 630 km. It measures 4,665 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm. Externally, it adopts the "Yuan Power Design Aesthetics," featuring smooth character lines, body-colored wheel arches, a continuous side skirt, blade-like D-pillars, and a floating roof. The rear end showcases an embracing surfacing design and new energy-loop taillights, complemented by optional 18-inch Halo or 19-inch Arrow Feather alloy wheels, along with six new exterior color options. Inside, the cabin features soft, rounded lines and a layered, floating 3D curved center console. It comes with a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and an integrated electronic gear shifter on the steering column. The vehicle offers 39 storage compartments throughout and includes a personalized display area dubbed the “Figure Fun House.” Key features include the Cloud Ride-C intelligent damping suspension system, far-side airbag, TBC high-speed blowout stability control, an electric front trunk, Dynaudio 16-speaker premium audio system, and a “Queen’s Co-Pilot” seat with enhanced comfort functions.
