On April 25, at the Beijing International Auto Show, Li Auto unveiled the next-generation L9's advanced chassis technology. The vehicle features a self-developed active air suspension system and a drive-by-wire chassis, enabling independent lifting of individual wheels—allowing tire changes without a jack. The system supports per-wheel height adjustment, completing lifts or lowers in as little as five seconds, with greater travel range and more precise responsiveness. During everyday driving, the suspension automatically adjusts ride height based on load and road conditions. In special scenarios, the single-wheel lift function not only simplifies roadside tire changes but also enhances off-road capability by raising a stuck wheel to improve ground clearance. The vehicle’s infotainment system offers one-touch “Tire Change Mode” and “Lift Mode” to prevent accidental operation that could damage suspension components. This chassis upgrade also significantly improves high-speed stability, ride comfort through enhanced vibration filtering, and handling agility.
