Peugeot plans to produce a new range of vehicles in China using technology from its partner Dongfeng Motor. The vehicles will be manufactured at Dongfeng’s plant in Wuhan, with the first model expected to launch in 2027. These products will target both the Chinese market and Peugeot’s overseas markets, with exports originating from China. At the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, Peugeot unveiled two global premiere concept cars—the Concept 6 Shi Rui and Concept 8 Liu Ming—signaling an upcoming product lineup encompassing large sedans and SUVs. The new models will combine Peugeot’s design language and driving characteristics with technology supplied by Dongfeng. Peugeot and Dongfeng have previously established a joint venture through Shenlong Automobile. This move marks a renewed effort by Stellantis, Peugeot’s parent company, to strengthen its manufacturing and product strategy in China after years of declining sales and business restructuring.
