Dongfeng Yipai M8 to Debut in May, First Global Model with Huawei ADS 5

On April 25, Dongfeng Yipai held a new product launch event at the Beijing Auto Show, announcing a deepened strategic partnership with Huawei Qiankun. The company plans to introduce three new models this year, all equipped with Huawei Qiankun’s intelligent automotive solutions. Among them, the Dongfeng Yipai M8—a “flagship intelligent six-seater SUV” targeting urban young families—will make its global debut in May. The M8 will be among the world’s first vehicles to feature Huawei Qiankun ADS 5, along with HarmonyOS Cockpit, Qiankun Vehicle Control, Qiankun Vehicle Cloud, and WhaleFin communication technology, delivering comprehensive coverage across driving, interaction, services, management, and connectivity scenarios. Key supply chain partners include CATL, Bosch, ZF, and Fuyao. According to disclosed information, the three models slated for launch this year comprise two mid-to-large-size SUVs and one mid-size coupe.
