Geely Auto Group and onsemi have announced an expanded global strategic collaboration to further deepen the integration of onsemi’s EliteSiC silicon carbide technology into Geely’s SEA-S super hybrid electric architecture. Under this partnership, Geely unveiled its SEP SEA Super Hybrid Electric System, whose core electric drive leverages onsemi’s EliteSiC power technology and supports a 900V high-voltage architecture—designed to enhance acceleration performance, extend driving range, and reduce charging time. onsemi’s power devices offer higher power density, enabling superior performance in smaller, lighter systems, which helps optimize vehicle dynamics and interior space utilization. Additionally, their enhanced thermal performance allows vehicles to maintain stable output under high-load conditions, improving long-term reliability.
