On April 24, 2026, Audi officially unveiled its first all-electric SUV—the Audi E7X—at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. Developed under the premium new energy vehicle brand AUDI, a joint venture between Audi and SAIC Motor, the E7X is the second production model following the Audi E5 Sportback. Positioned as a large all-electric SUV, it will launch in China in the first half of 2026. Built on the jointly developed Advanced Digitized Platform (ADP), the E7X features a zonal electronic architecture enabling full-vehicle OTA updates and deep integration with China’s local digital ecosystem. The vehicle is manufactured at the AUDI Intelligent Manufacturing Base in Anting, Shanghai, adhering to Audi’s global quality standards. The E7X measures 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. It offers two powertrain variants: a 300 kW rear-wheel-drive version and a 500 kW quattro all-wheel-drive version, the latter accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Battery options include 100 kWh and 109 kWh capacities, with the larger battery delivering over 750 km of CLTC-rated range. The vehicle supports 4C ultra-fast charging, replenishing from 10% to 80% state of charge in only 13.3 minutes. Equipped with Audi’s LiDAR-based Panoramic Driving Assistance system—co-developed with Momenta—the E7X enables highway and urban navigation-assisted driving, along with features such as memory parking, non-standard parking space recognition, and front-in parking. Safety-wise, the vehicle was engineered to meet C-NCAP 5-star and CIASI “Good” ratings across all categories and has undergone rigorous environmental testing globally. The cabin features zero-gravity seats, a 21.4-inch QD MiniLED rear entertainment screen, and a BOSE Performance audio system (22 speakers in the five-seat variant, 26 in the four-seat version), alongside the AI-powered Audi Assistant 2.0. Interior materials include Openpore North American natural wood trim, Fein Nappa leather, and Articite® suede—all certified by OEKO-TEX®. Design-wise, the E7X carries forward the AUDI brand identity with digital matrix LED headlights, an Audi Starlight Curtain (featuring over 1,000 individually controlled light sources), frameless doors, and aerodynamic detailing. Standard across all trims are rear-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, and an off-road mode, achieving a minimum turning diameter of just 10.28 meters. Audi plans to introduce the third AUDI-branded production model—a new all-electric sedan—in 2027.
