On April 25, Geely Auto unveiled its first native new-energy off-road architecture at the Beijing Auto Show. Centered around a triad electric system (battery, motor, and electronic control), this architecture features an integrated layout and a separated design for fuel, electricity, and gas systems, prioritizing enhanced safety, intelligence, and comfort while balancing off-road capability with urban driving experience. The architecture integrates five native design highlights and five key off-road performance features, leveraging AI technology to deliver intelligent all-terrain off-road capabilities. It offers a more rational spatial layout, more precise handling, and extended driving range. The battery is recessed into the chassis and protected by a six-layer underbody shielding structure. Fuel, electric, and gas systems are independently routed to avoid interference and reduce fire risks. In terms of off-road performance, the architecture is equipped with a high-power front P3 motor and dual rear P4 in-wheel motors, delivering a combined output exceeding 1,000 horsepower and achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the 4-second range. The three-motor setup works in concert with the vehicle’s perception system to enable AI-driven torque vectoring at each wheel. A rear differential lock can instantly engage both rear motors to enhance traction recovery in challenging terrain. Additionally, an active hydraulic suspension and intelligent body control system support features such as “jump-in-place” and one-touch intelligent off-road recovery. This architecture will debut on the Geely Galaxy Warship 700 model.
