On April 25, 2026, OMV Group announced at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show strategic partnerships with Leapmotor and Banma (Bote Intelligent Connectivity), respectively. These collaborations aim to deepen OMV’s localized ecosystem and support the global expansion of Chinese automakers. OMV signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with Leapmotor, committing to ongoing collaboration in areas including braking and safety systems, new-energy intelligent sensors, suspension systems, and components for autonomous driving perception systems. Leveraging its global engineering service network, multi-regional regulatory certification capabilities, global supply chain, and manufacturing bases, OMV will provide systematic support for Leapmotor’s overseas expansion. On the same day, OMV and Banma signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on joint development and global market expansion of high-compute cross-domain integration solutions and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) technologies. The two parties will combine their strengths in high-performance SoC platforms, integrated cabin-and-driving-domain controllers, AGI algorithms, smart manufacturing, and global supply chains to co-develop high-performance computing platforms and cross-domain integrated products. They will also establish a joint team to advance AGI applications in the automotive sector. During the auto show, OMV showcased multiple technology innovations led or deeply developed by its China-based teams: - A next-generation distributed electronic pedal-by-wire braking system supporting Level 3 and above autonomous driving, featuring a dual-actuator architecture with advantages in lightweight design, high performance, and cost efficiency. It is scheduled for its global debut in the Chinese market. - A new mid-to-high-end zonal controller (ZCU) solution, independently developed by OMV’s China team, adaptable across vehicle platforms and with strong global application potential. It will be deployed on a leading automaker’s new platform and sold both domestically and internationally. - An advanced intelligent driving camera solution integrating heating/defrosting, self-cleaning dust/fog removal, and AI-enhanced night vision capabilities to meet all-weather perception requirements. - A ceiling-mounted display customized specifically for the Chinese market, supporting voice-controlled opening/closing, stable image display, and multi-layered safety protection, equipped with display enhancement and blue-light filtering technologies. Additionally, neueHCT—a joint venture between OMV and Horizon Robotics—has achieved mass production of its “HaoYue HCT Luna” and “FanXing HCT Astra” advanced driver-assistance solutions, securing定点 (定点 refers to official selection/appointment for vehicle models; translated as "design wins") on more than ten vehicle models. Multiple new models featuring these solutions are set to launch in 2026, with plans to further expand the solutions overseas. OMV has also deepened its collaboration with Yinge Technology in the digital key ecosystem, securing multiple project design wins covering both domestic Chinese brands and joint ventures, with joint international business expansion planned for the future. Since its spin-off from Continental AG and independent listing in September 2025, OMV has consistently advanced its “Rooted in China, Focused on China, Serving Global Markets” strategy, strengthening its local R&D, management, and value chain footprint to accelerate the globalization of China’s automotive industry.
