On April 24, 2024, during the Beijing Auto Show, Xiaomi Auto announced its overseas expansion plan, with Germany set as its first international market entry in 2027. Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, revealed this news at the auto show, marking the official launch of Xiaomi Auto's global strategy. Xiaomi entered the automotive industry in September 2021, began deliveries of its first model, the SU7, in April 2024, and plans to deliver its second model, the YU7, in July 2025. In 2025, Xiaomi Auto achieved annual deliveries of 411,000 units. During the same period, Leapmotor, XPeng, Li Auto, and NIO delivered 596,000, 429,000, 406,000, and 326,000 vehicles, respectively. Xiaomi Auto has set a sales target of 550,000 units for 2026.
